Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Awwww!

I'm having trouble finding my motivation this morning, even the prospect of a quick expedition to the market to get Corn Flakes for my breakfast isn't moving me any faster than this.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kat loads of recover-ma for your sister! It's both amazing and scary.

“Not dead yet!”

So my mother got her Mother's Day present. And opened it. Loved it, but now she's disappointed because, and I quote, "I thought there was going to be another box coming."

I... have no words.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Workers "could have one adoption or one foster child per year, resulting in every year you get a new foster child, every year the husband and wife if they are both federal workers would take four weeks off with pay, because they have simply taken in a new foster child," he said before the vote.

Simply?? SIMPLY???????

Librarian Warlord

Kat, lots of recovery ~ma for your sister.

Don't get me started on family leave right now, because I'm a little too close to the issue. And 4 weeks? It's a start, but not nearly enough. Assholes.

I... have no words.

"What did my father get you?"

“Not dead yet!”

"What did my father get you?"

Heh.

heh heh heh...

If she starts bitching and/or whining, I think I shall break this out.

Sparky is wise. And evil. I love that combo.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

but now she's disappointed because, and I quote, "I thought there was going to be another box coming."

She always does this, though, doesn't she? I seem to remember a recent Christmas/birthday where she asked you ahead of time what she should be watching for in the mail, and she had the exact same "only one?" reaction, didn't she?

She will never change. All you can do is just expect this, and shrug it off as best you can.

Yep. Her birthday.

I think the only reason I'm continually surprised is because I block them out.
