There is nothing like ivory soap, scrubby gloves, and a Russian woman of indeterminate age (because she lives in a steamy steamy world and her skin remains marvelously hydrated)to make everything all better.
There's an awesome spa in Northwest London that rocks with a series of steam rooms, hot rooms, whirlpools and an ice cold plunge pool.
You can get a massage, etc, there and a killer pot of tea.
I still dream about it.
I really want to sit in a sauna right now.
Or really, I would like to do almost anything that's inside plus not at work. I just read a bunch of stuff about Lois McMasters Bujold books, and I would like to curl up and read them for days. Or maybe go to the movies. Or possibly just go back to bed.
In short: I would prefer not to.
We have a sauna at our clubhouse, but since the office closes at 6:00, which is when I'll be out of here, the sauna won't be accessible. Damnit.

Sometimes getting a pedicure is stressful for me (ingrowing issues) -- I just want to be cozy!
I hate massage, manicures, pedicures, anything that requires a stranger touching me. I will occasionally suffer through a pedi, though, as I like the results.
The thought of a steam room just makes me want to scream "MOISTURE BREEDS SWINE FLU" and run away.
