I used to munch on our rabbit food as a kid. Have nibbled on my cats snicky snacks when really drunk.

I have a sense memory of what dry cat food tastes like, but I don't remember eating it. I do remember being told that I had eaten it as a toddler.
Dry dog food has a huge amount of energy by weight. Bush pilots in Alaska and Canada will often carry dry dog food in their planes in case they're forced down in the wilderness.
Captain and Mrs. Hook's LP of music for Christian pirate children
This album is chock-full of piping childen’s voices singing about being Christian pirates and long-winded sermons about not spending all your money at the proverbial circus and missing the train to Heavenville and such. The best part is a surly puppet sidekick "Sharkey" who likes to refer to the good Cap’n as “fatso” and is guilty of the eighth and ninth deadly sins of interrupting and backtalking.
I remember gnawing on Milk Bones. They were oddly tasty to a child. I caught myself licking my finger after opening a can of cat food last night. It was weirdly bitter, but not too bad.
I would never have eaten pet food as a kid because our pets wouldn't touch the stuff. Leftovers served still warm mixed into cornmeal porridge or nothing, the picky little critters.
I had bad cramps last week, and Hubby gave me one of his Lortabs.
See, they gave me Lortab post-surgery and while it was great for the pain, it didn't make me all that sleepy, which was surprising, given that I am the World's Biggest Lightweight.
It's my understanding that, with opiates, more pain = less side effects like sleepiness. Thus the theory that if someone has overdosed one might improve his situation by breaking his arm.

Crap. When Hubby takes one, he become alert and normal. I don't like what that's saying about his pain levels.
There are other factors, especially if he has to take it regularly, of course. Bottom line, if it's helping him manage the pain, that's better than having all that pain with no relief.
Small comfort, I guess.
