Holy shit, Cash. That's awful!
One if my students emailed me to say she's home getting treated for head lice a few days ago, and I haven't been able to stop scratching my head since.

My sister called me half insane. She's so mad at my niece (and who could blame her). The kids have it at least once or twice a year because they keep getting infected by their cousins. My sister had to deal with it once when her stepson got it at preschool but finding out that my niece knew they had it (and had treated the kids the day they left) and still sent them over there was just too much for her.
Niece is going to get an earful when my sister takes the kids home and they won't be welcome back until my niece can assure her they've been treated and are completely lice-free.
Ugh. My head's itching just thinking about it.
I do not understand that behavior. I mean, I didn't go back east with Matt partly because I didn't want to bring my germs to my MIL. Lice -- that is a pretty obvious choice.
Head lice are a good reason to be black. They don't like our heads as much.
My brother and I never got lice, which is a freaking miracle considering the elementary school came down with it almost every year.
Someone else at the party is also going to the Inaug. They got MARC tickets, leaving at 6:30 and not heading back until 8:30. Yikes. I'm researching alternate driving routes because already the highway boards are predicting doom and gloom on 495....
Radio just played an excerpt of the "I Have a Dream" speech.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
He looks so much like his brother, it's funny. All kids looked like each other at birth, but the eldest, Miss P, is a slight blond (as you can see from the pix from last year) and the other boy is a solid, bigheaded brunette. Hell, 1st grader A is as tall as his 3rd grader sister. T looks like his head won't be as big at his brother, but the coloring seems to be sticking. They are really poster kids for Italian-Polish mergers, so cute.
I'm trying to hook Loki on catnip. Since the cat toy I got at the store (what was I thinking?) seems to be viewed with distrust, not sure....
Uh, it makes him crazy and lacking of suspicion. That was fast. Good to know!
