Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I want to make the CI/ATK pan pizza for dinner on Inauguration Day, and the CI website is giving me no love. Anybody got a link? (The only one I'm finding is a deep-dish pizza recipe from 1999. Which is probably also very good, but I want to make the personal-sized ones.)

[eta: ARGH. It's a Cook's Country recipe, and my Ci.com membership doesn't get me access. Frell.]

I am jealous of those who have the Scola.

Pix, we're not that far away...

Also, N was scolding me this morning for getting her addicted to Mighty Leaf. I told her to blame you.

hip deep in pie

Jess, there's a video of the ATK pan pizza on the site. I don't have an account, so I can't access the recipe, but I can see the video:

If you're going to blame me, you must then blame Jilli and Pete, who got me hooked.

Byron has disappeared out of the backyard. I'm a bit frantic.

Thanks, Sue! I have no idea why it didn't come up for me when I searched.

ION, Dylan has been talking to himself instead of napping for almost a full hour now. That boy has stamina.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My mom is now following the proper tradition of blaming Canada. She lives in SC and it was 22 degrees. She wants Canada to keep their weather.

It's going to cost me, I'd guess, at least $80 to take a cab from BWI to the hotel in NoVa, right?

As I recall a cab is about $100 from BWI to where I live (just north of the Beltway) so to Crystal City... yeah, it's gonna be a lot. A shuttle will be cheaper, but it'll also take even longer. Ugh.

The Borders near me closed last week. So today I went up to the one in Germantown to exchange my duplicate Xmas presents. And then I saw the World Market up there is closing, so I stopped there and got some cookware and random stuff. Went to Trader Joe's, and on my way home I saw that that Circuit City is giving up the ghost. Maybe I'll swing by the one near me tomorrow. I've been trying to decide if I should bother getting a digital converter for the little TV in my bedroom. I mostly use it for watching DVDs but it'd be nice to have the option of watching Letterman or something.
