Probably habit for him--not wanting to block anyone else's view in movie theatres. Dammit, he's the prez! He can totally do that!

Odd day at work. A perfectly harmless co-worker told me I looked hot. I thought he was making a room temperature comment/joke somehow - that is how harmless he is and the comment was, but odd word choice.

Some dept in the company decided we all need hand santizers, so small bottles were bought for every single person. Several of us won't use them, several others already have bottles of the stuff ont heir desks. seems like an odd use of money.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Guy in line in front of me at Dunkin' ordered a blueberry bagel, and my brain said, "Eat a muffin, whitey."

I am somewhat of a blueberry evangelist, but even I don't think they belong in bagels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh. Emmett's school made it into the paper. They're doing an original musical parody based on The Producers, called....The Directors!

Cool!

That reminds me, I need to E-mail Emaryn's principal. Emaryn would like to have something mentioned in the school newsletter and she knows I make the newsletter so I need to see if I can slip it in.

I do not have the energy today to engage in a 30 minute discussion about how we're doing this all wrong and have been for the last 10 years and we should really want to do it right but you know what WE ALWAYS HAVE THIS ARGUEMENT AND THAT SHIP HAS FUCKING SAILED TEN FUCKING YEARS AGO. This is what we have. Tell the goddamned mission office, 10 days before commissioning, in this economy, that you want 10 dedicated developers to rewrite the entire system from scratch so we can do it right after 20 fucking years, and THEN you can come to me and object to the kludge because it isn't "doing it right." Can it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OMG, this is so awesome! The Simpsons theme song, sung a cappella. Check This Out!

There's an album available [link] as a download... I might have to buy it.

Punishingly Intricate

so very tired. Was up at 5 to do spots on the Fox affiliate's morning show promoting our fundraising event on Friday. Playing Rock Band for charity. I spoke in one spot and sang in another. Hope I was coherent and not embarrassing. I can't believe it's only 1:15. Am not sure how I'll make it through the day.

hear hear sara. so much this. We are not 10 years into the path, but I am having to plead with people to do their work in a system, because that is what we have. Yes it is not perfect, and yes what we have has many errors, but let's fix them as we can, not throw up our hands and avoid it. I use this thing everyday, but I only one small part of it - I need two others to help out when I discover errors - if we tackled each issue thoroughly when we find it, this thing could be near-clean within a year.

The workspace in my development process software is named Californication, that's kinda weird.
