"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I was just raging about how it hadn't even been a year since the last time this happened, but then I checked my email history and discovered that was in 2007.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So aggravating. Which reminds me again, I need to send away for my credit reports, because I can't just call, due to the identity theft fiasco -- I have to mail in a copy of my driver's license and crap.

I am cranky enough about keeping track of all the places I have to change my address, I can't imagine dealing with having my money AND addresses tied up.

ION, my flips flops are not hardwood rated. They've got some sort of fabric covering on the soles. And while I know my way around tools, I'm really not that handy. Thank god for spackle and paint. I'm paying for window covering installation.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Congrats on being all moved in, sarameg. Welcome home!

Aw, thanks! It really does feel like home. Next time you come out this way, you MUST visit.

Even with peak allergy season and having to have the windows open, I've been less congested since the weekend (it was never bad, just always a little there.) And then when I went over there to clean sunday, it came back. Given I found mold growing in the drywall of the bedroom closet of the apartment (due to roof/ac closet leaks, pretty sure)...so my lead paint infested house is healthier too! Well, for my sinuses anyway.

hip deep in pie

Shrift that sucks! I can't imagine it happening once, but twice!

Oh! I forgot a funny/like-people I had: so I went to the Safeway nearest the new house (I've got issues with Giant, which is the closest at both old and new.) Anyway, it's a very, um... celebrating place. They were raising money for people with disabilities in Baltimore and every time they got a donation, there was an announcement over the PA and applause. So I get up to the cashier and she's ringing me up and gets a look at me. She leans forward and quietly and urgently asks "You ok honey?" I look at her blankly. She gestures to my arms. I start laughing. I've got SPECTACULAR fading (rapidly, thank goodness) bruises from the move and pre-move klutz, one especially vivid on my forearm, which could easily seem a defensive one. (Got that from the ac yesterday.) I told her "You should see my legs! I'm just bought my first house and have been moving and falling over boxes." "oh, OK! Congratulations!"

I don't like the layout of this SW, and it is smaller than my old and didn't have sliced ham, but all the workers were really friendly and nice.

I'm so in love with my new hood, aren't I?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It really is.
