I can't think of any particular songs that make me cry. Books & movies, yes, but not music. There are a lot of songs that send me to bad places, but that's usually more masochistic than cathartic.
I misread this as “The Pirate Life of Sherlock Holmes”, and I was all excited to go see it.
Oooh, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes is a nigh-great movie in its own odd way. It doesn't have pirates, exactly, but there are some mysterious sailors.
