Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I already have three things I'm supposed to do as soon as possible this morning.
When I was growing up and complained about being sick with some vague symptoms, my mother always used to joke, "Maybe you have swine flu." It's not funny now, is it mom?
Songs that make me cry: Greg Brown's version of William Blake's "On Another's Sorrow," Cheryl Wheeler's "Arrow," and virtually any version ever of "No Woman No Cry." (Er, yes. Being tenderly told I don't need to cry sets me right off. Shut up.)
Swine flu update: My church is no longer doing wine at communion "until we know more about the flu."
I'm with everyone who wants bubble wrap and cabana boys attending ita, and if I had any money I'd kick something over in Paypal right now to make it happen.

I hope those requests came with coffee and a pastry, otherwise - get in line!
ita, I hope you're hanging in there today. Actually, I hope you're still sleeping right now.
Songs guaranteed to make me cry: "Amazing Grace," and the first time I hear "Silent Night" every Christmas, as well as hearing the church choir sing it on Christmas Eve. Other than that, it's usually instrumental music -- oddly, I tear up at the end of Jurassic Park, when that gorgeous music wells up and they're watching the birds swoop over the water from the helicopter.

Mmmm, coffee.
I am already frustrated with my tasks of the day. Partially frustrated with others, partially with myself. MUST plow through this stuff so it does not get any more behind schedule.
Huge relief! The stuff sent to me over the weekend is excellent! Needs hardly any work! All is not lost!

The descant on O Come All Ye Faithful makes me cry and cry, which has been a problem when I've been in choirs! But that's crying in a good way because it's so beautiful, not sad crying. Most choral descants make me cry like that, really.
