Why yes, lots of drugs are better for something other than the original use. However, please note that it's illegal to market any drug for a use not approved by the FDA. Doctors can prescribe, but NO marketing materials or any "off-label" encouragement can be given. If another use is discovered, and the sponsor (company) wants to be able to market towards it, it has to conduct clinical trials proving safety and efficacy.

Uh. Did I imply that drug companies can just market their drugs for whatever indication they felt like, without trials and FDA approval? I certainly didn't mean to, because I know very well that they can't.

Crap, I have a couple of credit cards I never use, are packed somewhere and I need to call to change addresses on them too.
I should do something useful tonight but I'm kinda used up. Took some stuff over to the house and then didn't get home until 7 after hitting Home Despot again. I'm going to be taking towel holders and stuff tomorrow, afixing a lock and hopefully planting the cuttings Lisa gave me. I wanted to do the latter today at lunch, but it was pretty stormy. I'm going to Europe in July, and I'm probably going to want to buy at least one new pair of pants for traveling. What are your recommendations for sites that sell travel clothes (in women's plus-size)?

Dana, if Lane Bryant or one of the other good plus-sized companies sell cotton/5% spandex pants in black, that's a perfect sort of thing to take. It will keep its color, be comfortable even in heat, and look chic or casual depending on what you pair them with.
