Joyce: You don't think it's too obvious? I think I look like I have a cat on my head. Buffy: But a very well groomed cat. Joyce: Well that's a comfort.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

as opposed to just, you know, sweetening less, which is my vote.

That was part of my problem, I expect -- I was hoping for just a more watery Vitamin Water.

I should say, I like diet soda. NSM diet "juice" things. I'd rather just have more water with my juice.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Boing Boing - A directory of wonderful things freaky food fun: Insert dried spaghetti into hot dogs, then boil

DrO says: "I wanted to point out to you that some people on LiveJournal came up with an idea of inserting dry spaghetti into hot dogs, then boiling it, and coming out with amusing culinary constructs that kids seem to love."

I'm sorry for your loss, Scrappy.

I don't want to go paint tonight. But I kinda have to. I also don't want to clean the new place or the final push of packing.

But I kinda have to.

Taking friday off to clean and the last of the packing. It seems so daunting, but I have to remember msbelle did the huge bulk in under 24 hours.

I totally forgot about the contents of the fridge. I really want a better lock on the basement exit.

And Loki is nipping at my bare legs.

And it is about to storm and I don't have time to haul stuff out to the car, so I guess I won't be moving any boxes over tonight.

Coding and Sleeping

Hey a Citroën 2CV just drove past my office. There's something you don't see everyday. At least not here.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Here's my uncle's obit. [link] Nice, but doesn't give a flavor of what fun he was.

Our wings are not tired.

I'd say it would be pretty rare to see one drive by my office too.

Those hot dogs with the spaghetti look awesome. I have to talk Bobby into trying it. I know I don't have the patience.

Our wings are not tired.

Scrappy, that seems a warmer obit than usual for a federal judge. Being so involved in Illinois politics, I wonder if he found any humor in the Blago shenanigans? As an honorable person he likely was as horrified as anyone, but I sometimes wonder if people closer to it find it as funny as we do from afar.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Were you able to make arrangements to get there this weekend?

Yes, thanks Laura, got my airfare, now just deciding where to stay.

Oh, and he and the whole family found the Blago thing horrifyingly hilarious.

Inconceivable! How Could Anyone Misspell That?

In an embarrassing mistake, officials in Massachusetts have been forced to admit that some road signs pointing to Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg have spelling mistakes in them.

The typos, which are completely baffling considering how easy it is to spell Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg, were revealed by a local newspaper, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, which has been covering the misspelling scandal since 2003.

Of the ones I've heard of, only Momofuku Ssam Bar is even remotely affordable. Sigh.
