June asked, "Do they draw a rough crowd?"
The Weavers?
Ronnie Gilbert??
"Rough crowd"???
Hee!!
I've been a Weavers fan since college, since I read an article on their blacklisting in my history seminar class on Hoover's FBI, and checked out some of their albums from the library. My dad raised me on Kingston Trio and Peter, Paul, and Mary, but he wasn't well-versed with the Weavers, so I've been introducing him to them in the past few years.

I was having a freakout about getting a washer and dryer through the basement door. Went over and measured it. I think I'm ok.
Aw, Chuck! I love a good
safe-sex message
on TV.
Having mover issues. Not happy. Extra panicked calls in to others. Why didn't I do this a week ago? Oh yeah, a week ago I still didn't believe. Still really don't. Well, if there is going to be one major cockup, this would be it.
Oh and a little water in basement. Like a cup. At least now I know the source and have a good feel for solutions.
Oh yeah, I fucked this one up. Had one "sure thing" with multiple recs who hasn't responded since last week with a "sure." Had 2 more turndowns. Fuck.me.
I hate fucking up.
You're not fucking. You're dealing with it.
You can't possibly anticipate all the things that can go awry in such a transition. It's huge.
So just breathe, give yourself a break, and pour yourself a Scotch.
You just gotta be a good soldier and keep marching and soon this particular trial will be over. And then you will be in your own house and it will be a source of comfort and solace for you.
Thank you.
I'm pissed and self-flag-whatever and, just thank you. I haven't moved in 12 years. I've never hired movers before. Still, I'd like to think I know better and have a little less uncertainty.
