Don't think I haven't considered making a Grunter.com, for all those early morning grunt needs.
If you do, CNN wants you to be aware of the dangers of social media:
Rapid-fire TV news bulletins or getting updates via social-networking tools such as Twitter could numb our sense of morality and make us indifferent to human suffering, scientists say.
New findings show that the streams of information provided by social networking sites are too fast for the brain's "moral compass" to process and could harm young people's emotional development.
Before the brain can fully digest the anguish and suffering of a story, it is being bombarded by the next news bulletin or the latest Twitter update, according to a University of Southern California study.
"If things are happening too fast, you may not ever fully experience emotions about other people's psychological states and that would have implications for your morality," said researcher Mary Helen Immordino-Yang.
I'm not sure about my sense of morality, but I'm pretty sure I sprained something rolling my eyes at this news report...

Breakfast is our easiest meal out as everyone is pleasant at 7:00 AM.
I am only pleasant at 7 a.m. if I'm asleep.
We have survived rock and roll, tv, dungeons & dragons, video games, big hair, legalized abortion, and Internet porn without turning into a country of amoral psychopaths. I don't think social networking is going to do it either.
I love eating brunch but working it is a pain.
I love breakfast food any time of day, so brunch is made of win in my book.

NSM with the Twitter but the argument that overstimulation and too much information too fast numbs our sense of empathy resurfaces on a fairly regular basis. And while I agree it sounds inane to level it WRT Twitter, I have to admit that I was surprised to find myself agreeing with the basic premise when one of my classes was discussing the use of torture in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, and most of the class felt that stress positions, sleep deprivation, the undressing and humiliation of prisoners, even waterboarding, weren't really torture because they can see worse things depicted in any number of main stream movies, like the Saw series.
I would get on swearing.com and let my inner homicide detective run free...David Simon wrote that homicide detectives will one day have a new language composed of two profanities.
Brunch: Haven't really done this since I was a kid.
buffets: Awkward for me due to the chair thing.
omg Bloomberg inc, I hate you and your million and one half bills. Also? do not email one day about a late bill, send a new copy of the late bill AND THEN cut off service 2 days later without telling me that was the plan. payment turn around is more than 2 days, even on a fast track. grrr.
People, if you don't start posting more I will be forced to browse eBay, and that may not end well.
