There's more than one way to skin a cat. And I happen to know that's factually true.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have 2 trips I need to take in 2009. One in April, one in June. It's too early to find good rates for either one, and yet, that is what I want to do today. grr

I guess I'll go get lunch instead. I want ice cream and cupcakes, but I think it is too cold to walk to the ice cream that I really want. Maybe not with the concourse - ok I'm off to check.

It's never too cold for an ice cream!

And sumi... man. They should have named it drooling. Ouch, my taste glands.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Also, my dad asks: When and why the "so help me God" part was added to the outh of the office? Wikipedia doesn't help.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I love the term "false imprisonment" which surely implies some sort of legitimate imprisonment he could have been doing instead.

I was just thinking that. I suppose it's really unauthorized imprisonment, rather than false, to distinguish it from what the police do. But really: did he tell the guy the door was locked and it turned out it really wasn't?

Wikipedia does say it's not in the Constitution and it might have been George Washington who added it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just heard that this week! And now I can't remember if it was from NPR or The West Wing. Sad, really.

Oh, I do remember, and it was NPR. Phew. The expert was saying he didn't know for sure if Washington said it, since there was no tape of the event. Heh.

The first atheist president will probably leave it out. I expect that will be about 2120.

Yeah, NPR. I heard it too.

(Wikipedia also says that it might have been Lincoln. So really, nobody knows when somebody added that to the oath. It's not like they have to say it - because it isn't in the Constitution.)
