Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Made it until 4 this time. Progress? Anyway, this is 4 and my brain is still leaking out my ears, so I'm going to clean up and get some pain meds.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Could slept till 9 and up at 6. Can't get a horrible co-worker out of my head and how I keep failing to handle her professionally because she keeps pushing me into my hostile zone.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy belated birthday, Sheryl!

And sara! Whoooo! Go you, and house, and everything! Wish I could be there to give a hand. I love helping friends-people to move.

ita and Juliebird, your minds and brain should give you a ****ing break, IMHO. Is weekend.

After a lot of phone calls and deciding to read for a bit to chill, I ended up falling asleep on the futon. Whoopsie. But it's comfy!

But now I'm up and need to shower and damn, wish I could have internet at both places but a) don't want 2 bills, though I may and b) haven't set that up yet. Friend will be bringing her blackberry, but I ain't figuring that out. I can barely answer my cell.

Loki is so damned affectionate in the morning. He keeps falling over on me.

I took a page from msbelle's playbook and went out and got dunkin donuts coffee and an egg croissant. Normally, I wouldn't eat anything for a few hours, but I don't want a meltdown.

At YMCA for karate and it is an open house day here, which means MADHOUSE and the place I usually sit and knit and visit with other moms while he is in class, that area has been taken over. So, for the first time ever, I am sitting in his class and watching.

Damn but some of these kids are screamers. And there is nothing quite like seeing mac amongst other kids for me to see exactly where he is behaviorly at peer and where he lacks. Good to see.

That's a good measure to have.

“Not dead yet!”

Though yes, the song was too low for her in the low parts.

Agreed on that and what bon said about her swallowing the notes. But I put that down to a) that's a tough as hell song to sing with a big range-- even Ruthie Henshall who was one of the most popular Fantines had to work hard to hit the lowest ones and b) I figured her for a good old fashioned cased of nerves as well.

I mean, it's a great song-- a total show stopper, which is why so many people try it and then utterly fail at it. (I only sing it for my dogs-- they don't care if I screw up.) I totally understood Simon's look of doubt when she said what she was singing. I can only imagine how many butchered versions he's heard of it. (Or "At Last" which I know they've banned from the American Idol auditions.)

Just for comparison-- Ruthie Henshall at the Les Miz 10th Anniversary concert. [link]
