That's a good measure to have.

Though yes, the song was too low for her in the low parts.
Agreed on that and what bon said about her swallowing the notes. But I put that down to a) that's a tough as hell song to sing with a big range-- even Ruthie Henshall who was one of the most popular Fantines had to work hard to hit the lowest ones and b) I figured her for a good old fashioned cased of nerves as well.
I mean, it's a great song-- a total show stopper, which is why so many people try it and then utterly fail at it. (I only sing it for my dogs-- they don't care if I screw up.) I totally understood Simon's look of doubt when she said what she was singing. I can only imagine how many butchered versions he's heard of it. (Or "At Last" which I know they've banned from the American Idol auditions.)

Sara, looks like we are free the wknd of 5/2.
You are welcome to come down! No idea what I'd have for you to do, but. I expect to be in by then, but that could blow up.
Had to turn the heat off in the apartment because it's baking. Clicked linky and now I've got goosebumps. Nothing has ever topped Les Miserable for me. Not that I've seen them all.
Here is what I was thinking maybe could wait until that weekend:
Build glass brick or some other material wall to block off scary crawl space.
Painting a spare room or even one of the living spaces.
Hanging pictures.
Changing light fixtures.
There is so much to do and money to spend.
AHAHAHA! That's home ownership in a nutshell.
Congrats-I'm glad the closing went well! Yay!
Congratulations, sara! I'm so excited for you! And you survived!

I know she's performing in character there, but that sounded sort of ... forced to me in places.
