I think it's always a good sign when your interviewer says, "we've missed you so much!"
I'd take that as a positive sign.

Best. Sign. Ever. Unless the boss is your mom, maybe.
Unless the boss is your mom
or Michael Jackson.
That's the thing, Prop 13 was supposed to combat and unreasonable increase in property taxes, but it placed the cap at an absurdly low level. If my memory is correct it's a 1% cap on taxes.
More importantly, houses aren't reassessed as in other states, so, if bought years ago, you might be paying $1500 in property tax while your new neighbor in a similar house is paying $10000.
That's another part of the issue. It has also caused serious stagnation in many housing markets in the state. People don't move, which tends to make entry level housing harder to get since people fix up and expand the small homes as opposed to moving into a larger home.
Allyson, mos def.
However I am in no position to grouch about Prop 13 given that it saves my ass when it comes to property taxes.
Just because you benefit from something doesn't mean you can't also be extremely critical of it.

Well, she said "non-creepy," which pretty firmly excludes MJ.
I think it's always a good sign when your interviewer says, "we've missed you so much!" and gives you (a non-creepy, very welcome) hug before the interview.
I'm going to agree on that one!
Ah, Prop 13, which caused my wounded husband to be fired in his hospital bed when he worked for the Ventura Country Fire Department.
SNOW! There is a blizzard outside my office windows! Heavy wet muck.
And it's expected to get to 70 on Saturday. But snow through tonight.
