Wow, I didn't realize the gender disparity in China had grown so great. 32.7 Million more men than women. Way to go ancient sexist belief system!
Damn.
Kinda' reminds me of people who think polygamy is awesome. "It might be nice to have multiple wives, but odds are, you'd be one of the guys with
no
wives...."
Those women are still breathtakingly beautiful without make-up or Photoshop.
Seriously. Sophie Marceau looks almost the same. I couldn't see her picture, but, having stood in line with Chiara Mastroianni at Monoprix, I know she looks pretty darn good without makeup. Hard not to, with her genes.
Sophie Marceau looks almost the same.
That's what I thought. God, she's gorgeous.
I keep seeing that 32.7 million figure but no percentage -- It doesn't give a very clear picture. China is HUGE after all.
Damn. I'm trying to file my taxes online, and while I was able to finish the federal tax through my company's software, they were going to charge me $12.95 to file my state taxes (the federal is free since I work here), so I went over to the Illinois revenue website to file. No can do--they're all booked up!
I have to be here at 6:45 in the morning to do a morning load, so I think I'll just file as soon as I get that done.
Damn, I didn't even know this was online. From
Life Magazine
online, a 1960 photo of JFK, Hubert Humphrey, my grandfather and my dad. Hubert H. Humphrey; John F. Kennedy
This particular photo was never in Life magazine.

Wow! That's so cool!
I just burned my chin on my pizza. Ow!
Yeah, I always used to end up getting my federal filed for free but paying for my state. These days I need slightly more, so I pay for both, but it's not much and it makes it so easy it's worth it. I'm lazy; they have a good business model by already having all my info. I just have to update a few things and I'm done every year.
In completely unrelated news, I'm just catching up on Castle and I didn't know I was going to get to see
Aldis! Mmm, Aldis.
Also, hee to
the WRITER bulletproof vest.
And also to
"Kitten".
Hee.
Wow, there's more here: [link] plus variations on the photo they used on the cover (of just JFK and Humphrey, with our barn and silo behind them.)
