Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I guess 10 is OK -- she is tall!

And a quick google didn't find pictures of W on the field like that (not that he wasn't, I just didn't see the pictures immediately) [link]

But his father was. [link]

And apparently 10 is the top age for the Roll [link] In case anyone was desperately wondering about that.

information libertarian

My obtrusive Malia height-googling suggests she is about 5'6" now. Which is incredibly tall for a 10 year old, but look at her parents and her uncle is 6'6".

In case anyone was desperately wondering about THAT!

“Not dead yet!”

Dude-- a ten year-old trumps me by four inches.

OMG, you're right. Basketball team in high school for Malia, anyone?

Wow, that is tall for a ten year old! I was probably 5'8" by 12, but I sprouted pretty fast before that, IIRC. Although I might have been my mother's height (5'5") at 10 -- I was definitely wearing her shoes then....

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Does the White House have some kind of rule that they have the find the creepiest Easter Bunny costume available? Seriously, none of those bunnies are at all cute.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

ISTR height is determined on the mother's side, so there you go.

And now I want to Natter about Jen's post in BaBB (I have been eating half-price candy this afternoon....):

I have been spoiled before, but I've gotten progressively less spoiler averse since joining the board... and, frankly, the aging that's happened since then, because I forget shit all the damn time anyway.

Months ago, I was at my parents' and made a comment about a new book they had in a series I read -- that I was going to look for that book when I got back home. My mother was like, "Oh, I couldn't believe [enormous spoiler!]" I was like, "MOOOOMMM!!!" Yeah, but then when I read the book recently, I had totally forgotten, and was surprised when it happened. Good times.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

If Malia's ten that'd make her in 4th grade, right? I was around 5'4" by that time, and had reached my final height of 5'8" by the beginning of 6th grade.
