Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

A (Canadian) friend of mine had an old beater of a car in high school, a chevy nova, I think. It was held together by her father's engineering prayers. Anyway, she used to say that hitting one Canada goose would be all it took to total it & kill her. But she figured the goose would survive.

Compassionately intolerant

I had a weirdly anthropomorphic response when looking at the NY photos. "Aw. The plane looks so sad stuck there in the water. It must be embarrassed."

I swear to you, I have not been drinking.

Although, now that I mention it. I might make some cocoa with Kaluha.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

There was an article I read in the paper today, and there are 13 seats left on the Barbers and Hairdressers of Rochester bus going to Washington for the inauguration, and I so wanted to go. It is sponsored by a 1/2 african-amerian/1/2 Indian (Native American) activist City councilman who was once a barber. And went to high school with my mom.

If I had a bus, I'd go! (The logistics of transport are making me dubious. I want to, though! If only my cat didn't need meds, I'd sneak down the night before.)

Speaking of groups making the trek, I want to share this story : [link]

Loki and Devi are sleeping on the futon again. Not touching this time, but Dev knew he was there. Oh lord, she's washing her butt and he just reached out a paw and dragged it down her back, on purpose! And she ignored it totally and is dozing off again. He'd so be her best buddy if she weren't so mean. Story of her life. MK was the same with her.

The stalkery attacks have changed flavor a bit. Less actual contact. I do wonder if Loki's increased size is a factor. I can't just pick him up easily with one hand; he's too heavy and long for it to be managable.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

It'd be so great if everyone's cats got along.

Mine was happy to see my next-door neighbor stop by to use the phone--for some reason, she didn't pull her usual standoffish behavior with new people, and spent the entire time rubbing all over her and meowing while being petted. She usually only does that for me!

And in Chicago is damn cold news, a pretty sunrise over a cold city.

Work is broadcasting it in our auditorium. But I really want to be with crowds of craxy excited people. I love an emotionally invested crowd.

Obama will be in B'more Sat afternoon, as a part of the train trip to DC with Biden, I guess. But it's at the same time as the first birthday of the kid I saw born. So..... Gotta go celebrate probably the only child I'll ever literally see come into the world.

God, that was a year ago?!!
