Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

I think this is an ad for a home of the vintage I'm buying, in the hood: [link] Can't really tell, but the layout and pictures look right.

How cool is that?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It ripped one of his testicles off. Which I think is sufficient for the "let that be a lesson to you."

It is also sufficient for my brother to approve his compo claim. As he puts it, "I don't care how it happened. You lose a goolie, you get the cash."

I really wish I could turn up the original selling price. I'm seeing others in the $4-6K range. Think about that. I know my grandparents built their place in the late 30s for $7K.

I love history. I'd love to find an archive that has the ad for this street's style of homes from '31. Print it, frame it and hang it.

Inspector told me they are re-roofing the upper roof as we speak. Still confused as to where the water came from. Bah. But they extended a gutter and did some other shit. And the water heater and boiler were serviced.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That's a nifty ad, sarameg. I love the descriptions.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that was great.

ION, a GM ad just told me, "It's time to rally." Seriously, GM? Maybe give it a week.

msbelle and lisah, I think that pipe/lid thing in the back "yard" may have been the remains of an underground trash receptacle. Mind boggles. History me wants to put it in a pot and plant stuff in it. What? It is interesting!

eta: the door in the drawing? Is the door the house has.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love this ring and this artwork.

Ok. Quick! I need a mother's day gift for my mom and one for K.
