Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

My internet keeps going away which is bad for a variety of reasons personally, but REALLY BAD for work. Blarg.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Coming up for air. 70+ hour work week. We moved our offices and labs, and the only day off I had was Sunday. I'm exhausted. So much so that I locked my keys in my car yesterday while it was running, and didn't realize it until I came out of the grocery store with a full cart.

My brain is mush.

There may be an opening at JPL for me, and I should be interviewing for it, soon. Please please please. I don't know how much longer they can carry me, here.

Perkins, I am so sorry to hear about Ozzie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, Allyson. I didn't realize you were still working for the jokers.

My week could not be any slower. And I think tomorrow will be even slower than today, since my counterpart is out! I have got to make up some exciting work for myself that doesn't involve other people...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good luck, Allyson.

Jam soda. With an unsweetened enough jam, this could be delightful.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am moving offices this Friday (I just found out on Monday!) and it is driving me crazy. We have a building operations manager who manages all of this, but he has a real wait and see attitude. Like "wait and see if you have room for a desk for your student worker" and "wait and see if there will be a color printer on the same floor as you when 40% of your job is making and printing color flyers".

I have made a ground plan of my new office and determined that there is not only room for a small desk for my student, but another table and a bookcase. Now to see if I can have any of those things!

I got to get my bitch on and make the leasing manager (refusing to negotiate the lease, but then, I don't think she's clever enough to have an original thought) put me through to the property manager, who is going to try to clear some sort of deal through the regional office.

eta: gah I should not compose posts when on the phone.

Property manager is the one who went to bat for me with all the a/c bullshit.

We'll see.
