Art Crawl!!!

I missed the end of Fringe too! (It's up on Hulu but it won't run for me. Except that it will run on IE but not on Chrome, huh.)

Perkins - I'm so sorry for your loss.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

sara, dude, the flipping is normal. You'll survive it, and we're here to bounce off until then.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No worries, sara.

We have some people moving offices today, and everyone is wigging out, and I'm about to smack someone. First, both of the people in my department should be happy about the moves, but somehow are not. Then, apparently moving day = today did not get clearly communicated, which is half my fault, but whatever. Basically, everyone needs to suck it up and get with the fucking program, is what.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am having issues with a higher up at work. Not someone I report to, but someone above my level. The person is not doing work that I need and it is affecting my ability to do meet deadlines. This morning, we have an issue with a worker. The higher up in question was supposed to have talked to them about something, something big, but they didn't. The employee comes up to me and is asking me questions that I know nothing about - completely awkward. Turns out I do need to do something, but I was never told and in fact, my inquiries into this process were ignored more than once. I am so annoyed. I end up having to scramble.

I had my freakout here at work this morning.

I'm covering for two people, one of whom started vacation today due to Passover and one who had to go to her BIL's funeral and will be out the rest of the week. What I'm doing is something I know how to do in theory (the second person's task) but haven't had to do in over a year (the first person's task), and I was already worried about missing a few steps. When I came in (two hours earlier than I normally would to get this stuff done on time), however, I found out that the damn server wasn't working! Arrrrgh!!

At least it came back up five minutes after I called it in to IT.

And I get to go home by 4:00, which is nice. Then I get to come in at 7:00 again tomorrow.
