I have lots of cousins marrying each other in my genealogy, including two sets of first cousins. Apparently, it's an American thing to be squicked by cousins marrying. I know I've read lots of British novels where cousins hit it off.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I know I've read lots of British novels where cousins hit it off.

Didn't the Rothschilds purposely intermarry with cousins to keep the money in the family.

Olivia fell asleep and I've got two hours until Owen gets home on the bus. I am so napping.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The unanimous vote sets the stage for future debate on legalizing gay marriage in the District -- and a clash with Congress, which approves the city's laws under Home Rule.

More proof that a national legislature is a terrible thing to waste.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Cousins United to Defeat Discriminating Laws through Education. (That is, cousin marriage.)

My cousins are both Conservative Christians and none too hot. I think I'll arm wrestle Connie for David McCallum instead.

I'm watching last night's Daily show, and Jon Stewart just called Iowa more progressive than California.

Not to say Iowa isn't AWESOME, but the court there just did the same thing the court here did. It hasn't been put to the voters yet--that's where the test is, sadly enough.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It hasn't been put to the voters yet--that's where the test is, sadly enough.

Which, IMO, is BS. As a voter, I really don't believe that social rights should be put to a popular vote.

**Edited to say that I don't think Perkins is BS (unless BS in this case means Bacon Slacker), but voting on gay-marriage is.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Which is why Vermont wins.

Exactly, to both.
