Compassionately intolerant

I have a question for your library leaders. Where should I look for more scholarly articles on authenticity in the workplace, the benefits of resolving conflict in teams (versus sweeping under the rug) and creating change that lasts?

I've been trolling the NYTimes and Harvard Business Press but I'm not finding materials that aren't blog posts written by folks much like myself.

I'm pitching a change program to companies and am looking for that oh so elusive external validation. People don't generally read the referenced articles, but HAVING them is somehow comforting.

Handwavium extends to my marketing process.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy birthday msbelle!!

We ended up having a cold day today, so no school! Yay! Since it was -16 here this morning with a wind chill of -45, I think that was a good call.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This isn't quite what you're looking for, bonny, but This American Life had a thing about a study that proved "bad apples" did bring down the whole working team... [link] (the journal linked to in the post I linked may be more broadly useful as well...)

information libertarian

Bonny, I would call your public library and see if they have access to Business Source Premier, which is a subscription database of journal articles from business magazines. If they don't, try a local university (the vast majority of university libraries are open to the public for walk-in help.)

hip deep in pie

Bonny, do you have access to a library with databases? I think ABI (through ProQuest) is one of major databases for Business and Management articles. Or EBSSCO...Academic something (I can't really remember the name and I don't have access to it anymore.) Anyway, a lot of public libraries have access to major article databases that you can use if you have a library card.

Or even, on the web, Find Articles: [link]
