That's disturbing. You're emotionally scarred and will end up badly.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy birthday msbelle!!

We ended up having a cold day today, so no school! Yay! Since it was -16 here this morning with a wind chill of -45, I think that was a good call.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This isn't quite what you're looking for, bonny, but This American Life had a thing about a study that proved "bad apples" did bring down the whole working team... [link] (the journal linked to in the post I linked may be more broadly useful as well...)

information libertarian

Bonny, I would call your public library and see if they have access to Business Source Premier, which is a subscription database of journal articles from business magazines. If they don't, try a local university (the vast majority of university libraries are open to the public for walk-in help.)

hip deep in pie

Bonny, do you have access to a library with databases? I think ABI (through ProQuest) is one of major databases for Business and Management articles. Or EBSSCO...Academic something (I can't really remember the name and I don't have access to it anymore.) Anyway, a lot of public libraries have access to major article databases that you can use if you have a library card.

Or even, on the web, Find Articles: [link]

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Wait wait wait wait WAIT... are you suggesting that yelling at the characters on screen does NOTHING?!?!?!

No, no, no. It's a valid method of influence for all sporting events and when you watch Top Gun and tell Goose to duck. And by influence, I clearly mean it doesn't do a damn thing but sometimes you feel better anyway.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Look, I know when a race is on tape delay that screaming does ABSOLUTELY NOTING. I'm not insane.

Compassionately intolerant

Thanks guys. I realized that I brought my Arlington library card into my friend's office today so, at your behest, I searched there. They've got ProQuest, but not a lot of scholarly stuff. I'll check to see if my American U card is still valid when I get home.

That This American Life episode was hugely helpful. Thanks Jesse!
