People who are supposed to be from Georgia never sound like they're from Georgia. It was the accent that made me unable to watch The Closer.

No kidding. I found it interesting that the one who came closest was Fionulla Flanagan, who's Irish.
Sandra Bullock's wasn't awful, but it was Texanish which is more NW Louisiana.
Steel Magnolias had a similar problem. I love watching Olympia Dukakis, but her accent really didn't work.
