but I'd certainly put it over a pair of jeans (don't tell Jilli).

But that is a pretty coat. I'd want it in a black/ivory stripe or a black/black tonal stripe.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

And I bet she would do that any way you wanted it. I watch her corset listings because they are beautiful.
I'm confused by the detachable nature of the sleeves. And I don't think I need a big bellows of sleeve like that.
Did I mention I am going to prom this year? Not the Buffista Prom, but actual prom?
I *really* don't understand why cholesterol counts are expressed as a total of good and bad. I had a doctor's office warn me about my high cholesterol...because my LDL is in the 90s.
Late to the Yeah Iowa! party. But, as I am IN Iowa, I can tell you it feels pretty cool to be an Iowan.
I'm staying with my sister and her spouse and they were wandering around with silly, happy grins on their faces all day. My sister and sister-in-law have been married twice now, once in Canada and then a sort of "joining" ceremony at their Unitarian Church here in Cedar Rapids.
When sister asked spouse to marry her...Again! spouse's response was "Do I have to?" Sister said "Yes, you do!" followed by much laughter. They have to wait 3 weeks for it to take affect, so they didn't run out and get the license today.
Iowa has a good track record on being open and progressive-minded. Witness the last Presidential campaign. They were also one of the first to give 18-year-olds the right to vote (just in time for me to vote at 18) and were one of the first states to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.
It's not always so liberal here, but we have our moments.
I've never been to a HS prom and I have no intention to start now.
I'd totally go to a HS prom, but where would I get a good date?
Oh, quester, that' s lovely.
I have 2 close friends who are planning a commitment ceremony for October in Des Moines. One of the couple is actually a lobbyist for gay marriage rights in Iowa and she told me in December that it looked very good for their commitment ceremony to actually be a legal wedding. Now, it looks like it just may happen. I am so excited for them!
Oh, yay for them, ChiKat! Tell them I hope that they do get married, they look so happy together when I see them at your place. Moving to Iowa was perfect for them!

Hee! I take it you got tagged for chaperone duty?
