I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Nggyahh! Nunya sliced my knee open in a clumsy attempt to leap on my knee. I could feel my jammy-pants getting wet as I walked to the bathroom for some disinfectant.

Seriously, a week of pruning roses and it's the cat that gets me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Something you can do sitting or lying that won't aggrevate or trigger anything?

I'm just going to concentrate on getting the knee better, and go from there. There's very little I can do with it this way.

ita, I saw this coat and thought of you. I can't decide if it's too over the top.

It is over the top, but if it were black and silver I'd crave it greatly. I'm not sure what tops I'd wear it with, but I'd certainly put it over a pair of jeans (don't tell Jilli).

Why do so many Brits have a thing about gingers? And why is it infectious? I yell "Ginger!" in my head every time I first see a redhead on TV.

Not a Brit, but my first major crush was a ginger, and I've had a weak spot for them ever since.

Except David Caruso can suck it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There was an article in some UK paper a few weeks ago about "gingerism," and discrimination against redheaded people.

raises an eyebrow

But that is a pretty coat. I'd want it in a black/ivory stripe or a black/black tonal stripe.

And I bet she would do that any way you wanted it. I watch her corset listings because they are beautiful.

I'm confused by the detachable nature of the sleeves. And I don't think I need a big bellows of sleeve like that.

Did I mention I am going to prom this year? Not the Buffista Prom, but actual prom?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I *really* don't understand why cholesterol counts are expressed as a total of good and bad. I had a doctor's office warn me about my high cholesterol...because my LDL is in the 90s.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Late to the Yeah Iowa! party. But, as I am IN Iowa, I can tell you it feels pretty cool to be an Iowan.

I'm staying with my sister and her spouse and they were wandering around with silly, happy grins on their faces all day. My sister and sister-in-law have been married twice now, once in Canada and then a sort of "joining" ceremony at their Unitarian Church here in Cedar Rapids.

When sister asked spouse to marry her...Again! spouse's response was "Do I have to?" Sister said "Yes, you do!" followed by much laughter. They have to wait 3 weeks for it to take affect, so they didn't run out and get the license today.

Iowa has a good track record on being open and progressive-minded. Witness the last Presidential campaign. They were also one of the first to give 18-year-olds the right to vote (just in time for me to vote at 18) and were one of the first states to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.

It's not always so liberal here, but we have our moments.
