Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

ER's finale was basically satisfying. It was nice to see how everyone turned out. They got one more greusome birth/death in there so that's nostalgic too. I was disappointed to see that Kem continues to maintain her perpetual state of looking beautiful and tragic and utterly shutting out Carter (who, interestingly enough, ALSO had a son die). I STILL have no idea why he stays with her, even before Joshua's death she was pretty much beautiful, smug, and shutting out Carter.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Tom!

Great news about your mom, Theo.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Tomtastic birthday wishes to the birthday boy!

Happy birthday, Tom! And woo to Theo's mom! That's great news.

My company finds out at 11 whether we are getting this certification we are going for. We've been working hard on it for months. If we get it we can bid on lots more contracts which = continued employment for me. Which would be nice. So, if you guys don't mind sending some positive results -ma B'more way in an hour that would be great. I'm pretty anxious about it (and the rain...stupid hole in roof).

I hate the rain too, lisah. I predict more anxiety nightmares tonight.

Good to hear about your mom and no pain, Theo.

They pay me in WOIMS

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone!

I took the day off from work, but I still went in for therapy this morning; I'm still recovering from that.

I'm also anxiously looking at the weather radar. The system seems to be very fast moving, so hopefully the t-storms will have all passed through before tonight's baseball game.

Hey, did you get the name of a good roofer from your soon-to-be neighbors? If so, could you pass it on? A good roofer is very hard to find.
