I attended a wedding in the middle of a tropical storm. I don't know why the bride and groom chose Labor Day weekend, though I'd guess part of the reason was that a holiday weekend was easier for out-of-town guests. Luckily, indoor facilities had been arranged just in case.
While I'm not crazy about the name Satyana, there's something Slavic about Satyana Denisov.
I think Satyana is a pretty name. Here it talks about the origin (I figured it was Sanskrit):

Re: weddings. I'm moving closer and closer to a "Fly to Vegas and get matching tattoos the last night of the honeymoon" kind of wedding place, should I ever get hitched.
My biggest expenditures for the wedding were: Dress, flowers, photographer. The most important things to me were: Groom, alcohol, reception and whether it would be a good time for all. It pissed down rain but ws a hell of a party.
The groom worked out nicely, too.
Any woman that vested in a dress is in for a world of dissapointment. I have no idea where my dress is today.

I don't know if it's the Scottish in my blood, but when I see women on that TLC show, Say Yes to the Dress, spending sometimes more than $20,000 on a dress, I just boggle. That's a down payment! Or a car! Or a college fund!
That said, everyone should do what makes them happy for their wedding day. I loved my wedding, we kept it low-key and very small (we were young and poor, too) and it was, as Cash said, a hell of a party and a very good time.

That's lovely, Ginger. I was just saying yesterday that I hope by the time I get married (if/when), dresses with sleeves are back in style.
Date 2, lunch is complete. Went well. I think I let a bit too much of my crazy out of the bag in conversation - too much caffeine. We'll see.
