See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I have to say that the beech sheets Hec and I got as a wedding present wore thin and shredded completely to bits after about four years--but I also have to say that they got an unusually heavy amount of wear because (a) we don't have a lot of sheet sets, and when it was too warm for the flannel sheets we'd just wash the beech and put them right back on the bed, so they never got a break, and (b) we did have one other set of non-flannel sheets, but the beech sheets were just insanely much more soft and comfortable that we mostly ignored the others. If you can afford four or five sets and give each set a proper rest in between stints on your bed, oh they're lovely.

Now tagless for your comfort.

They've cancelled school for tomorrow due to cold. Subzero temps and REALLY subzero windchills. I need to figure out some indoor activities for tomorrow.

Coding and Sleeping

One inside activity my kids love is the treasure hunt. I just hide a bunch of notes around the house with each having a clue to finding the next until they reach the treasure one which is usually a coupon to turn in for a piece of candy or ice cream.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I have a four-day weekend coming up, and I probably won't go more than a few miles from my house. Poor G has a business trip which requires him to fly out Saturday and work Monday and Tuesday. At least there's comp time...

I'm all jealous now--my dad just sent an e-mail saying that he and my brother are flying down to Tampa for the weekend tomorrow morning. He gets to escape all the cold of the next few days!!

Now tagless for your comfort.

That's a good idea, Gud. And easy to do.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I got the bamboo sheets.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Excellent.

In addition temperatures will plummet tonight to 10 to 15 below zero. This combined with a biting northwest wind will create dangerous wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero tonight. Thursday night will be even colder with lows approaching 20 below in some areas though wind speeds will be diminishing.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow. Travel is not recommended.

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken.

...maybe I'll work from home tomorrow.
