Shit, Dana, that sucks. I'm so sorry.
Oooh, SF quake! Since moving somewhere where a quake COULD happen, I have become oddly paranoid about it. But only when I am going to sleep at night. I have no idea why.

The website I checked says 4.6.
Aimee, why don't you ask the doctor? I find they usually include that kind of info in the instructions they send me before a procedure, so the nurse should be able to tell you.

Perkins/Lee was much closer than the rest of us, by about 40 miles, but up in SF everyone's fine as far as I know. It was only three seconds long, two solid brisk jolts. Everyone in my office area had a moment's doubt--Was it just a big truck? It wasn't, was it? One person was on the phone with a colleague in Chicago who got all squealy and excited about talking to an actual Californian during an actual earthquake, which we all thought was kind of adorable.
First quake in the new house! M & I were sitting in the kitchen, and rrrrrrruuuuuuumbbbbbblllllle. Whee!
Hasn't Law & Order and its children used the all the plot points by now?
actual Californian during an actual earthquake
Are there fake Californians with fake earthquakes?
