What, the carpets or the nightmare. Carpets=apt (nothing in the new house yet.) Nightmare=new house.

That is a great shot.

Off to look at pictures!

Ooooh. There's a HUGE thunderstorm that's about to come through NYC.

We just had some wicked awesome lightening and thunder boomers and some fleeting heavy downpours here in NJ.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crazy lightning! And kids screaming outside....

That was probably the storm we had earlier. I love thunderstorms, but for the first time in my life, I was wishing it gone. Until that roof is done...

sara, is he having the roof done or giving you the cash off the price? if him, does he have to clear the roofers through you?

He's doing it, his call. Have to be licensed and bonded and I get to see all work orders and receipts. I don't think I get much say, but I'm asking my realtor about that. I'd rather do it myself, but that's not how it worked out. (I'm not too worried.) I'm guessing he figures if I walk, he'd have to do it to move it or rent it anyway. I don't know, he's a weird one. He's had it as a rental for a some period of time, I *think* (I know it was a rental for 14 years, but not sure if he was the sole landlord) and his primary business seems to be financing renovators.

Oh, and in interesting news, the appraisal came back the asking (I'm paying slightly less.) So that was reassuring, I guess.
