I can't remember how to get into my old Flickr account, so I have to reload all my pictures and rename everything under my new account, which really sucks. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend! (Well, in addition to spending Sunday with Dad, who's hanging out up here and taking me out to dinner for my birthday next week.)
I did get a few new pics of my cat Amarna up, though!
Her best pose
Her more typical pose
Green eyes.
Her dangle look
I understand that with the passports, at least, you can "accidentally" step on them a couple of times and then the RFID mysteriously stops working, and the authorities have to handle them like any old passport... which there are so many of....
I have a 6 mo. check up today that I'd like to be as uneventful as possible. So, some, no lumps or bumps thoughts please.
Good check-up~ma, msbelle.
Sorry to skip yet again, but according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Laura and her DH's anniversary, so lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year together, for the both of them!
Also, and she may kill me for posting this, but I'm willing to risk that because she deserves all the "Yay"s she can get, Shir has just told me that she's on her university's dean's honor list for her grades this semester. Yay Shir!
YAY SHIR!
And Happy St. Patrick's Day. [link] worst Irish accents on film list, with sound clips.
Good luck, msbelle.
Happy anniversary, Laura and DH! And CONGRATS Shir!!
Speaking of St. Patrick's Day, of course there's a big parade here in NYC. Our City Council Speaker, while being the first Irish American Speaker, is also the first openly gay speaker, so she doesn't march in the parade, because they don't let gay groups march. So what is doing today? Going to the White House with the Irish Ambassador. Nice.
Am I the only one who is so over St. Patrick's Day? Is there another "national holiday" that is basically about ethnic stereotyping? Maybe it's living in college towns, but wearing a green shirt and getting shitfaced is not my idea of celebrating anyone's ancestry.
Signed, Party Pooper Wearing Pink.
Congratulations, Shir!
Happy Anniversary, Laura & DH!
Is there another "national holiday" that is basically about ethnic stereotyping?
Yes. Cinco de Mayo. And certain aspects of Thanksgiving if you're native american.
