Ugh. That's the worst. Sorry.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I (perhaps stupidly) went to brunch this morning, because I was feeling less like death. I had to stop on the way to get more Kleenex. And I coughed for a solid 20 minutes while we were waiting for a table.
But I did get to see people, and pass my phone around with a bizarre Facebook message from some dude I barely knew in high school, who "always hated how we lost touch". (Me: "Dude, we didn't lose touch; we were never IN TOUCH.")
I'm still feverish, so I think I shall spend the rest of the day watching TV.

Oooh I HATE them! Total Bickersons. I am a little obsessed with the controversy about them (about the dad getting fired, and them exploiting the kids, and "firing" the sister in law who baby sat because TLC wanted to give her money).
I am so ready for bed! I did a 5K with friends midday and then we went to an Irish pub for beers and much pub food and then had cake and baileys&coffee at friends' house. But I should stay up for a couple more hours I guess. I did put a load of laundry in at least so not a total waste.
The B&N told me they can't give me boxes. Boo.
Bastards.
If B&N won't give you boxes, the liquor store is a really good suggestion. I've always used them on my moves. super sturdy, and in my experience, the liquor stores are glad to get rid of them.
and the liquor store boxes are sturdy and not too big
I did not know there was controversy about Jon and Kate! And I think I'm a little defensive about Kate, since I grew up with a cranky mom. And there was just one of me!
Yeah, liquor store boxes are the best.
The last time I moved, I bought boxes at a place like this one [link] in Baltimore, whose boast is that it supplied boxes to The Wire and Homicide. Because I am a freak, I wandered about the box warehouse with several representative sizes of books, to find the sizes they would fit in with the least movement. I ended up with misprinted Kotex and Clorox boxes. The advantage, if you have as many books as I have, is that the book packing goes really fast if the boxes are the same size.
