Punishingly Intricate

I can't stop watching Jon and Kate Plus Eight. I like them.

Oooh I HATE them! Total Bickersons. I am a little obsessed with the controversy about them (about the dad getting fired, and them exploiting the kids, and "firing" the sister in law who baby sat because TLC wanted to give her money).

I am so ready for bed! I did a 5K with friends midday and then we went to an Irish pub for beers and much pub food and then had cake and baileys&coffee at friends' house. But I should stay up for a couple more hours I guess. I did put a load of laundry in at least so not a total waste.

The B&N told me they can't give me boxes. Boo.

If B&N won't give you boxes, the liquor store is a really good suggestion. I've always used them on my moves. super sturdy, and in my experience, the liquor stores are glad to get rid of them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I did not know there was controversy about Jon and Kate! And I think I'm a little defensive about Kate, since I grew up with a cranky mom. And there was just one of me!

Yeah, liquor store boxes are the best.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The last time I moved, I bought boxes at a place like this one [link] in Baltimore, whose boast is that it supplied boxes to The Wire and Homicide. Because I am a freak, I wandered about the box warehouse with several representative sizes of books, to find the sizes they would fit in with the least movement. I ended up with misprinted Kotex and Clorox boxes. The advantage, if you have as many books as I have, is that the book packing goes really fast if the boxes are the same size.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I just cannot wrap my head around buying boxes.

I am trying to think of what NYC neighborhood would have parents around mac's age that are people I could see myself become friends with. I am getting kinda exhausted not having any neighborhood friends.

Yeah, and check craigslist's free section. There are almost always some folks on there trying to get rid of their moving boxes.
