I'm very excited for you sarameg, even if I share your moving anxiety. If I were you, I'd be developing hives about now.
But on to msbelle's dating:I want more deets!
J peeps, represent!
Okay, this cracked me up because I assumed a totally different meaning for "J" than Jesse did.
Poor Isaac. Now he has Franny's fever. I hope this thing ends here, at least as far as our family goes. I hate to lose my spring break to fever.
J vs P?
Good luck to you and your mom, Theo.
J vs P?
Yeah.
egad, I need a cup of coffee.
Thanks! I'm just putting my laptop away and am going to pack the car now. SIGH
good thoughts to you and your dh, theo
Movers are totally worth it. At least for the actual move, I'd rather pack myself.
In NY, I always used the Poles or Ukranians that advertised on telephone poles, but my last two long-distance moves I used national companies.
Sara, I when I moved here from the Eastern Shore, I used Dennis Storage in Salisbury (Mayflower). The local team that came for the estimate was great and the NC crew that actual moved me was awesome. I definitely recommend them.
Ooh, if we can both keep our jobs until I move (fingers crossed), my coworker's husband has connections to movers (Israeli), so maybe I can get some kind of deal that way.

Absolutely. To move out here, I used Mayflower. To move into the new place, M hired some of his usual construction crew/day laborers. It was fantastic and fast.
I like the movers to *move* the stuff, but I do like to pack myself. The time we went full-service, since S.'s company was paying, we'd find boxes with, like, one pillow and a lampshade in them. Seemed a little silly to me.
