Home inspection next saturday, 9 am. msbelle, lisah, I don't know how you'l want to incorporate into your offers to help.

Everytime I start winding down, I wind back up.

Need to talk to the leasing office soon.

OK, back to packing.

Oh! I just got an email from the next door neighbor!

Oh, dear. Does the next door neighbor sound crazycakes, sarameg?

I just sold (paid the dealer to take it back, actually) Dad's car. I now have no reason to go to Kernersville ever again. A friend went with me to help out and to eat pie (happy Pi day, y'all), so I didn't cry on the way home. But it's still an odd feeling.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seems like that bodes well, Sara....unless the response was crazy, of course.

I'm sorry, Calli.

Calli, I'm sorry. It is in no way the same for me, but to think I have no reason to ever visit Rockford, Ill. is always odd.

2 boxes is enough for today, right?

The neighbor response was good. Just freaky that I now know the name of the resident with the bikes, you know? He thought the note was neat, and is happy to talk to me and gave me his number to call some evening. He works down in DC.

Our wings are not tired.

The value of good neighbors can not be overstated. The day we moved in here the next door neighbor made massive amounts of ribs to feed all the moving friends and family. I probably have the phone numbers and email addresses for a couple dozen people within blocks of me. We help each other out with simple things like rides, or major help and support when we get storms. And we party! Also, the kids can't get away with crap without a neighbor ratting them out.

What could be the timetable from inspection to closing?

Oh, this is totally random, but: the other night, I was out to dinner with some friends, and one was describing going to a strip club in Japan. At first, she said it was too disturbing to talk about. Then, when she finally started talking, she opened with, "You know manga?" I was like, "THERE WERE TENTACLES?????"

I blame You People. I would never have know the disturbing side of the internet on my own.

Well, settlement date is 4/17 in the contract.

Explanation for the seller's flakiness is hasn't handled a property sale in probably 20 years. I guess he used to have an agent, but separated from that or something. He's licensed, just not so much with the practicing.

Oh, good. It would be a shame to have the threat of wackaloon neighbors looming over the new house before you even moved in.

I feel so proud. Does anyone else feel proud?
