this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I guess I'm used to them by now.

You have the right to live your life free of judgement, sweetie. As long as you aren't hurting other people, you have as much right as anyone to walk around being fat, skinny, black, female, etc., and not be subject to other people's judgemental comments.

I totally understand how a person can get used to such comments -- I've lived my adult life as a fat person, and wow, have I gotten my share of them -- but you shouldn't have to. And it's not cool for people who are supposed to be caring for you to say things like that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Scary. Pretty vulnerable position.

Horrible migraine last night. ER visit. Nurse who finally got the IV in right had me push my own saline to test it. Creepy. Mostly better now, I think.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, ita. Sorry.

Pretty vulnerable position.

Seriously. My cat is way smaller than I am, and can still hurt me by accident or on purpose...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And that's before the crocodiles even make an appearance.

brillig

It always takes me by surprise to realize how BIG lions are. And what cuddle bums they apparently are. I have a picture of a woman leaning her head against a lion's head, and they both seem quite content.

You don't see these kinds of pictures with tigers, so much. I wonder if it's because lions are pride critters and like lolling around on fellow creatures.

My one cat is about the size of that lion.

So yesterday, the seller didn't send over the right lead paint forms and he said he'd do it last night, but he still hasn't. They are no big deal, it's just part of the contract (It's from 1931 and has original doors in places. Of course it has lead paint. He sent over the form that goes with a rental contract.) My agent said in the brief interactions she's had with him, he seemed pretty flaky. I'm betting there is going to be a lot of "dude, get your act together" in this process.

Hahah! You do have large felines. I always thought of Mister Kitty as big, but I'd had a lot of diminutive cats, including Devi. I think Loki's gonna be a big one. He's already surpassed MK's weight (and is only a little bit fat.) And he's not a year yet.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Aren't tigers considerably more likely to regard humans as prey animals than lions are?
