hwæt

I don't think the Buffalo sauce and the pizza sauce go together that well.

Punishingly Intricate

I really should return to that mindset, but expand my menu options since money isn't as tight right now.

My best friend has been doing that (horribly-named) Flat-Belly Diet which actually sounds really practical, healthy and not at all as gimmicky as the name implies. What she likes about it is that it plans out a menu for you for the week, that is varied, easy to prepare, and relatively unspendy. And you can, like, prepare a bunch of things on the weekend and have them to eat during the week. She really likes not having to think to much about what she's going to be cooking and eating and still getting interesting meals out of it.

My little co-worker is humming untunefully, something he does on occassion although he hasn't in a while. He's got headphones on so I'm sure he doesn't know he's doing it. It's annoying but also kind of hilarious. I wonder what he's listening to?!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, nom, lunch: panzanella caprese from the b.org cookbook. One of my favs from that cookbook. D. ended up with a bunch of tomatoes he didn't use and of course I have bread and balsamic vinegar on hand, always, so I bought some fresh mozarella and anticipate nom in a short while.

Hee on the humming. We had one drummer in the studio who hummed constantly as he played, but didn't realize it until we were trying to track his drums and there were all these little grunts and murmurs on the track (everything else was piped through headphones, so he couldn't hear himself over the guitars and such, but the drum mics which were the only things open in the room sure picked him up). It took forever to break him of the habit!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I walked down Memorial Drive and acquired myself a burrito. Carnitas, natch.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Lunch: chicken pot pie from Boston Market. I'm feeling less than great, and this is comfort food for me.

The Republican also told state senators Wednesday he supports paying poor children to read, and the state should consider paying girls to not get pregnant.

If only they had this program when I was a teenager. I could have been not getting pregnant for money, instead of just feeling like a loser who couldn't get laid. Heck, I didn't get pregnant in my 20s and 30s as well—I wonder if they're considering some sort of bonus for that?

Yoinks, I'd be a meeeeeelionaire by now!

I am so sleepy, ugh.

Tom and I have been totally off cooking as of late. We're eating a lot of canned soup, boxed mac & cheese, Trader Joe's stuff, and takeout.

Every once in a while over the weekend we will bust out some kind of casserole or stew or other leftover-bearing meal, which helps.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Veggie Udon. Nom nom nom.

And someone tell me to get out of Salon letters? I'm having entirely too much fun schooling this pretentious little prick.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The Republican also told state senators Wednesday he supports paying poor children to read, and the state should consider paying girls to not get pregnant.

Are they going to pay for the birth control, too? Because that would be cheaper and it WOULD WORK.
