Loved the piece about Baltimore. The housing prices alone are making me wonder if I could find a job there (commuting to my current job is NOT an option).
And sarameg, my bathroom (ca. 1929) has the same tile on the walls. Seriously. The fixtures are white - not sure if they're the original ones or not - and the new floor is imitation white-ish marble. So somewhat less personality. (FYI - dark green towls work with those colors.)
