Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2008: "...and the horse you rode in on."

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2008? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Wow that got there fast!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

When I saw it, I knew it was yours.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

A friend mailed me a DVD a couple of weeks ago, which has still not reached me; I've been assuming that my Secret Santa hasn't got around to mailing anything yet, but just on the offchance that s/he has in fact mailed me stuff, and thinks I am a total bastard for failing to comment upon it - I didn't get it.

See, I'd have thought the DVD would have got here by now, so I'm hoping that it hasn't been lost in the post, or something equally unfortunate, and that made me wonder about the Secret Santa thing.

Mostly, though, I realise it's karma.

Always Anti-fascist!

I still don't know what happened to mine. Not that I did it to get a gift, but Buffista gifts are always so fun, right?

Our wings are not tired

I guess I'm in the right spot. I'm truly living up to Slacker in that I've neither sent my gift, nor received my gift yet. Hopefully once I'm back from my business trip to Orlando this week I can finally get my gift finished up and mailed off.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I am really thankful that I have both sent (whew, pressure off when it was received) and received my own. Once again, meara FTW!

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I'm just a slacker in the sending department. I'll get to it, I swears!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Slacker here, too.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am ND, except less likely to wear a skirt. I haven't sent mine or gotten mine. I am a bad Santa.
