Huh. That's actually a decent list. GbV at no. 1!

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Jone! She's awesome. One of the coolest ladies I know.
Cool beans! You hobnobber with rockstars.
65. Coquelicot Asleep In The Poppies…
It is sad that most people can't appreciate the beauty of this title.
It is sad that most people can't appreciate the beauty of this title.
I am one of those people. Explain beauty, please.
Well, I think coquelicot is just a pretty French word (co-klee-co). But, more importantly, it means poppy.
I am sad that Versus is not on that list.

Aww yeah Versus!
The Strokes aren't on the list. Indie cred is a fickle thing indeed.
While I certainly enjoy them, the Strokes are on RCA, so they are not indie. I had the same momentary thought about PJ Harvey but remembered she is also not on an indie label (she's on Island).
I had to go back and check the link to see why Sonic Youth was on there.
Nominations must have been originally released on an independent label. Albums released on indies which were later acquired and/or re-released by majors are allowed (like Sonic Youth’s Daydream Nation, originally released by a pre-1989 major label merger Enigma Records).
Oh, OK then.
