For what I just paid for my ticket, I expect Kevin Shields to let me strum on one of the guitars he's not using.

That is right around the corner practically. But, no, I'm actually not that familiar with them (signed, Out of It)!
also, dag, that's an expensive show for that venue.
They're pretty wonderful. And I doubt you're out of it.
Here, listen to 'em... www.myspace.com/bouncingsouls
(um... I'm a little evangelical about them)
Is it expensive because its some sort of teeny tiny venue?

Not teeny but not huge. I think their ticket prices are generally more in the $10-$12 range.
I'll check them out! (not at the show tonight though. i am a very tired old person who has to work tomorrow!)
Tired and old is a bummer. True.
Of course, you'd probably be home by, what, ten thirty? Eleven? You could end up watching sitcoms that late...
(Sorry.)

Heh. I don't see many shows these days, and when I do, a major consideration is "will I be able to sit?"
My Bloody Valentine at the Austin Music Hall on April 21. Just bought my ticket. AW HELL YEAH!
Bring some quality earplugs. You won't regret it.

One time Mom and I were trying to make plans for the weekend and we saw that Jerry Jeff Walker was going to be playing at the House of Blues. Mom called up to see if there would be seats available. The person on the phone said, no, it's just a big ballroom and mom said, "Well you better have a chair for Jerry Jeff- he's older than I am!"
