There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My sister wants to see Duran Duran with me next summer. They're not a band i'd ever see live on my own, but it might be fun with my sister.

So I have a question I never thought I'd ask: how is Duran Duran live?

If you have Netflix, you can watch the 2011 concert film, “Duran Duran: Unstaged”, directed by David Lynch.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

They were pretty good when I saw them, but that was 26 years ago.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I saw them in July. I thought it would be sort of fun and nostalgic.

Instead, it was this REALLY good band that KILLED all these songs I'd loved in High School. Had a fantastic time.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

They are great live. Their musicianship is underrated.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh wow! I was catching up on some Colbert and saw Michael C. Hall doing the title track Lazarus from the Bowie produced musical sequel to The Man Who Fell To Earth (all old or new Bowie songs). Seriously, check You Tube or any Colbert site because that was impressive. The show is totally sold out through it's off-Broadway run and supposedly not coming to Broadway.

Hall said he wasn't trying to do a Bowie impression but damn if he didn't do one of the best ones I've ever heard. And of course there's the added frisson of seeing Dexter sing Bowie. The new songs are going to be on January's new Bowie album but I hope we get an original cast recording or something of the show itself because DAMN!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Bowie has a new album out called Blackstar with a track called Lazarus. I like the album. It's a bit trippy-trancy, with some nice sax riffs.
