Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Yes, please.
Josie & the Pussycats songs are also relevant to my interests...

Music recs wanted!
Is there any other music that could be comparable to Playing for Change songs or HitRecords "You're Not the Only One" where it is a collaboration of many artists? Or at the least uplifting/inspirational or just epic like U2/Greenday's "The Saints Are Coming"? --After listening to that last, not so much on the epic, just the uplifting and heartwarming.
So! This actually happened a bit ago, but well, stuff happened, and some of you already know, but still. Anyway! I'm proud to announce my first mini-album has been released! It's a three song EP. I do blues/jazz covers of "Hanging Tree" from Hunger Games, Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar," and my own original, "Sleepin' In." (spoiler alert - it's not about sleeping!) Head over to [link] to take a listen, and throw me a couple bucks if you want to download the tracks!
How cool, Liese! I really liked your version of Have a Cigar.
Thanks, David! That was the genesis of the project. "Hey, you know what I should do, hahahah..." It started as a joke, but then when I got the amazing pianist in, I was all, uh-oh, I have to up my game! He happened to be at the college where we were recording; he was playing in the big band that performed a piece the SO had composed the night before. The prof (who I thought would be doing all the parts) called him up and said, hey, wanna drop in? It really elevated it; suddenly I was the weakest player on my own project! But I was pleased with how it came out, and it's fun to have something for sale on iTunes!
