I bought a song on European iTunes which she wanted but couldn't get in the US, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was (and I uninstalled iTunes because it f'd up my disk drive). A look at UnAmericans should remind me though.

Edit: I found the post here, and the song. I'll forward it to you, David.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thanks, Fiona.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I found a BRQG quote from ita about DeBarge:

I'm the corner with the Debarge folk. Is there anything more transportingly lyrical than "Rhythm Of The Night?" Plus, Jheri Curl. You can't beat that with a stick. Mostly because the stick will dissolve.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Okay. We will be large with the 80s R&B.

Jesse might need to help me here.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was reading her posts in Natter from December and starting here - § ita § "Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter" Dec 15, 2014 4:09:39 pm PST - she has a BBD Pandora station going and posts lyrics from songs she was grooving to.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

ita and I had many similar tastes, so didn't even google.

"Let me lick you up and down until you stay stop."

Keith Sweat

Also, I'm so East Coast+selected Tupac. Can't beat California Love,

Tupac

IMO, unless it's Montell Jordan.

This Is How We Do It.

Well, and anything off "Off The Wall".

And BBD.

"Poison" (of course), "Do Me", "Thought It Was Me", "Ghetto Booty"

Boyz II Men.

"Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" again, of course.

Some suggestions for these artists

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

She also mentioned New Edition. I was large with the NE love back in the day and would suggest Candy Girl, though Cool It Now was the big hit and is also awesome.

You know, I must really love you guys to let you see my NE love.

Glam, be out and proud! If loving NE is wrong, I don't want to be right!

I would add "If It Isn't Love"

High-five, Vortex! I went and listened to both songs after posting and I still love it (esp Candy Girl). What a great bop!
