Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Giles ,'Conversations with Dead People'

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Wow, I always wanted to think he was immortal.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Maybe he is and he's just being sneaky.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I know a lot of country music sounds alike, and music by its nature finds one tune influencing another. But doesn't the tune of "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me" co-written by Hunter Hayes [link] sound a hell of a lot like Gary Burr, Joel Feeney and Kylie Sackley's song "Nothin 'bout Love makes Sense" made famous by LeeAnn Rimes' performance [link] ?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There's a new Throwing Muses album coming out in early December. Lister/download a free track here: Throwing Muses - “slippershell” (free MP3) - Boing Boing

I'm a big Muses/Hersh fan, and I likes this song. Also, I approve this message.

The nostalgia, it burns.
