There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Liese, I wish you were coming closer to Nashville! I'd love to see the show one of these days.
Rupert Grint is Cheetah Chrome!
I'm not going to get tired of saying that for a couple months.
50 Places Every Music Lover Should Visit
Not one for San Francisco or the Bay Area? Not even Gilman Street? Or the Fillmore? Or 1600 Fulton?
Pretty thin on London too. And in LA you're not going to where the Masque was, or Sunset Sound or the Troubadour or Rodney's English Disco (now a karate studio) or Laurel Canyon?
Should've included Ardent Studios in Memphis.
So, that band Dreamboys that Peter Capaldi sang with from 1980? I finally got decent mp3s of their 7". It was harder to find than you'd imagine. Googling led me to a Craig Ferguson message board which led me to expired mp3 links but also the Twitter handle of the person who posted them. She was kind enough to re-up them for me. She put them in three separate files on Gigasize.com. I just combined them into a zip file after fixing some errant tags and put it here.
Nice score on that Dreamboys excavation, Jon!
A new addition to my Halloween collection too.
